We feel it is important to be transparent on the subject of costs to our artists, so here are two things which may appear on your statement that are worth clarifying.

1) Warehousing
We are charged approximately €1.50 per month for every 500 units stored in the Naxos warehouse.

2) Handling fees
We are charged a £0.45 pence handling fee per unit shipped from the warehouse.

Both of these charges were until recently paid by Orchid, but due to the fact we now have so many thousands of CDs being stored and similar numbers of CDs being shipped, it has been necessary to split these costs with our artists, in line with our contract.

As such they are removed from the sales figures before the royalty split is calculated.
